Ladies' Fall Tennis Kick Off
Running through the month of September, this program featured intense drilling and match play designed to improve participants' game and gain an advantage during the indoor season - whether that is brushing the "rust" off for upcoming clinics and team flights, or to gain an advantage over opponents for interclubs or team matches. At $50 a class, this September event runs annually at the Georgetown Prep Tennis club.
High School Pre-Season Girl's Boot Camp
This one-week event was developed as a "tune up" for high school girls preparing for their fall tennis season. The four day intensive course was organized and run by Senior Staff Professional, Anne Smudz, who has extensive experience with both singles and doubles match play situations during her experience as an NCAA collegiate tennis player. The session offered coaching on advanced stroke techniques, shot placement and selection, court movement, patterns of play, mental preparation, and fitness. All of this combined led to an edge at team tryouts. This event is held each year during beginning to mid August.
4th of July Round Robin
This past Fourth of July, Director of Tennis Mark DiChiara ran a ladies' round robin the morning of Independence Day - featuring tennis, food and refreshments, and FUN! All of the ladies were asked to wear patriotic colors or something EXPLOSIVE!
